In order to convert the Guidance and Counseling Unit into a world-class psychological services
center and to bring the Unit's services closer to every member of the university community, the
Unit created the Mental Health Peer Educators and Mediators training program for students.
Interested student volunteers should fill the forms below to apply.
Selected applicants will undergo an intensive training sessions designed to equip and develop
their capacity for the following;
- Mental Health Peer Educators and Mediators.
- Serve as liaisons between Ho Technical University Guidance and Counseling Unit and the student community.
- The Mental Health Peer Educators and Mediators provide information, support, and referrals to students.
- The Mental Health Peer Educators and Mediators provide wellness and mental health workshops and programs to student
groups such as religious groups, Clubs and sports teams, student organizations, and academic classes.
- The Mental Health Peer Educators and Mediators reach out to first-year students, giving assistance
and addressing subjects such as homesickness/university adjustment, stress and time management,
and conflict resolution.
